Pad size guide: measure once, fit right
A pad that fits stays in place when you fall — a pad that doesn't is decoration. Three measurements and two minutes are all you need to pick the right size for any SKATEWIZ or 99FLIPS set.
How to measure (2 minutes)
You need a soft measuring tape — or a piece of string and a ruler. Measure directly on skin or thin clothing:
- A — Wrist: wrap the tape around the wrist joint, right where the hand meets the arm. This sizes the wrist guard.
- B — Forearm: measure around the forearm about 1.5 inches (4 cm) above the wrist. This is the second anchor point of the wrist guard and the reference for the elbow pad.
- C — Above the knee: with the leg straight, measure around the thigh about 1.5 inches (4 cm) above the kneecap — that is where the top of the knee pad sits.
Write the three numbers down and compare them with the chart of the set you're eyeing below. All values are approximations — bodies differ, and that's what the adjustable straps are for. Between sizes? Size up.

99FLIPS FLASH sizing
The kids' set keeps it simple with two sizes: XS for approximately ages 3–8 and S/M for approximately ages 7–12. The ranges overlap on purpose — petite 7-year-olds take XS, tall ones S/M. Extra-long adjustable closures cover the in-between. See the FLASH product page.
Fit check after unboxing
Put the full set on and do ten squats and arm bends. Pads should stay centered on the joints without cutting off circulation; wrist guard splints must sit flat along the palm and forearm. If a pad drifts more than an inch, tighten the straps — if it still drifts, exchange the size. Buying for a beginner? Ourbuyer's guide covers everything beyond sizing, and thepad set overview compares all sets side by side.
